An animation idea's storyboard. It has a somber atmosphere with a somewhat hopeful yet menacing ending. It's meant to be a prologue of sorts, where war has wrought havoc, and thus a new beginning must take place.
(Upper left to bottom right viewing order)
From the sky, the camera rotates down to the ground.
A sword comes into focus, to set the context of war. The camera comes closer, and follows the fresh blood flowing downwards into the soil.
Time passes, as shown in the freshness of the blood fading into a dusky red and the metal becoming rusty and chipped. A person come into view from their shadow in the third (bottom left) image. The fourth (bottom right) image shows the person backlit for a more dramatic entrance.
The camera then rotates upwards, looking at the figure from a bird's eye view; then cutting to the floor to not yet reveal the person's face. The skull also represents that some time has passed from the beginning of this storyboard to this panel.
From the blood shed of war, it bears a fruit that the person picks up and observes. The background fades to bring sole attention the the figure and fruit.
The perspective is then seen in the eye's reflection, where the fruit is being squeezed. Then it changes to first-person-perspective, switching from the eye reflection to the eye's view itself. The fruit is destroyed, its redness filling up the screen as the final text shows up.
Original Storyboard
Here is the original storyboard. Major differences are that I added more thorough shading for consistency of the entire storyboard style, as well as to distinguish lighting and environment throughout. I also added a title section to establish a starting point.
